What to Eat on the Mountains in Zhangjiajie

In Zhangjiajie, the attractions are located in different scenic areas. To visit the attractions or mountains, visitors would need to enter the area and explore for several hours or even half-day there. So visitors would probably have lunch on the mountains.

When Visiting Tianmen Mountain

In the Tianmen mountain scenic area, the main dining place is near the Tianmen Cave. There is a large open-ended dining area, providing fast food and local food like Tujia-style cold noodles, pancakes, Steamed Buns, Omelets. Also there is fruit and other snacks.

This dining area is built on the mountain, so it is also a good observation deck. Visitors could have a rest there, enjoy the stunning view and have a meal at the same time.
 

Overall speaking, there are choices to eat on the mountains. Due to the limited situation, the price of dining in the scenic spot is relatively high. If visitors would like to spend as much time as possible on a visit, then dining before or after the tour is optional. What need to mention is that there is no place for western food in Zhangjiajie at local restaurant. For foreign visitors, western food could be provided in the hotel as a buffet breakfast.
