Travel from Shanghai to Huangshan

The cheapest way to travel from Shanghai to Huangshan is by train. But there are only two train from Shanghai to Huangshan. So if you want to have a trip from Shanghai to Huangshan, you’d better make a plan in advance don’t miss the train. The earliest train from Shanghai to Huangshan: K782/K783（12:40 – 00:19(+1day). Notes for Booking Train Tickets

1. Booking an original train is easier than booking a passing-by train. You can book a train ticket 10 days in advance at most. Above train schedule and fares are just for your reference, while they may change over time, you need to check them again.

2. Generally, the seats on the train in China may have tow types including soft seat and hard seat. Also, there are tow kinds of sleeper seats on China's trains which are hard sleeper seat and soft sleeper seat. Hard sleeper seats are divided into upper hard sleeper, middle hard sleeper and lower hard sleeper (lower hard sleeper is the best); while soft sleeper seats are divided into upper soft sleeper and lower soft sleeper (lower soft sleeper is better).

By Bus

You can also go to Huangshan from Shanghai by bus. There are many buses depart from Shanghai. The distance between the two places is about 400 kilometers. It takes about 6 to 7 hrs from Shanghai to Huangshan by bus.

By Air

Currently, the most convenient way to go to Huangshan from Shanghai is by air, but the way is the most expensive one. There are only 2 direct flights from Shanghai to Huangshan, it’d better do not miss the flight, or you will have to wait for another day. It takes about 1 hour to fly from Shanghai to Huangshan.

Huangshan Airport has been opened to navigation since 1958. It is located in Tunxi District, about 7 kilometers away from the city center. It is equipped with a full range of communications systems and weather command equipment. Except for Shanghai and Beijing, it has also opened direct flights to Changsha, Chengdu, Guangzhou, Qingdao, Xiamen, Xi’an, Shenzhen and some other cities.
