Yangshuo is a county of Guilin, located in the south of Guilin. From Guilin to Yangshuo, the distance is 65 km, and it takes 1.5 hours of driving. For getting to Yangshuo from Guilin, you could make use of public transport.
1. Guilin → Guilin South Bus Station
Take No. K 99 public bus or No. 12 public bus. From Guilin Railway Station to Guilin South Bus Station, it takes 30-40 min.

Yangshuo is a famous tourist place, and well known to western tourists for a long time thanks to its gorgeous natural scenery and countryside sightseeing. So what does Yangshuo actually have for tourists?
1. Li River Bamboo Raft & Hiking
Li River flows from Guilin to Yangshuo, and its highlights are in the section from Yangdi to Xingping. The two are towns of Yangshuo, and great attractions are Mural Hill, Huang Bu Dao Ying(Reflection of Yellow Cloth), and Yuan Bao Mountain, etc.

2. Xingping Ancient Town
Xingping Ancient Town is a beautiful town with a long history along Li River, and tourists could go to visit well-preserved historic buildings and enjoy its beauty. Xingping Ancient Street is a famous stone-paved street, over 1 km long, and along the street, there are well-preserved historic buildings of stone-tile structure.
3. Yangshuo West Street
Yangshuo West Street is the famous street in Yangshuo, and also a pedestrian street, commercial street, and the best place to buy Yangshuo special goods, eat delicious food, drink coffee and beer, and enjoy yourself for a serene leisure time.
4. Yulong River Bamboo Raft & Hiking
Yulong River is the biggest river in Yangshuo with spectacular scenery, being the essential part of Yangshuo scenery. Yulong River Bridge is the place where you could capture beautiful pictures. There are several piers for Yulong River bamboo raft, and different sections for cruise.

5. Ten-mile Gallery
Ten-mile Gallery is another highlight attraction in Yangshuo, and also the best place for countryside sightseeing and bike tour, and the best place for interesting outdoor activities. Ten-mile Gallery consists of several parts, Tuteng Gudao, Butterfly Spring, Big Banyan Tree, Julong Deep Pool, Moon Hill, Yulong River and Gongnong Bridge.
Operation time: 8:00-18:00.
Sightseeing ways: tourist bus (20 yuan), bike (10-20 yuan), and electric vehicle (30 yuan for half day). Most tourists would like to take tourist bus or ride a bike for Ten-mile Gallery sightseeing, and tourists in a tight itinerary usually take tourist bus.
Ticket: No entrance ticket, but tickets to attractions like Big Banyan Tree(15 yuan), Moon Hill( 10 yuan).
1. Day trip to Yangshuo from Guilin itinerary:

Due to bamboo raft not available at 10:30-12:00, you could arrive Yangdi before 12:00, then take Yangdi-Xingping bamboo raft and back to Yangshuo (3 hours needed), and then you only have 2-3 hours for Ten-mile Gallery( end at 18:30), and have a short stay at Yangshuo West Street, and go back to Guilin. The latest bus from Yangshuo to Guilin departs at 8: 30 PM.
If you start this tour in early morning, and arrive Yangdi at 9:30 AM (Guilin to Yangdi at 7:00-7:30 AM), you could take Yangshuo-Mural Hill bamboo raft, and the whole itinerary won't be so tight.

You could go to Guilin Pier before 08:30, and take Li River Cruise to Yangshuo at 12:30-13:00, and visit Ten-mile Gallery and Yangshuo West Street in the afternoon, and go back to Guilin from Yangshuo before 20:30.
