Though there is no direct train departing from Hangzhou to Wuzhen Water Town(乌镇水乡), travellers can take high-speed train from Hangzhou East Station (杭州东站) to Tongxiang station(桐乡站) first. Then after getting off the train, travellers should take Public Bus K282 (from 7:45 to 17:50) near the Tongxiang Station to get to Wuzhen Bus Station. Finally, you should take K350, 20-30 minutes to the scenic spot and the fare is 2 yuan.
There are about 33 high-speed trains running between Hangzhou East Station and Tongxiang Station every day. The earliest train departs at 06:22 and the last train departs at 19:56 with the frequency is about 30 minutes. Duration of train from Hangzhou east to Tongxiang station is between 17 to 30 minutes. And ticket fares are 21.5 yuan for second class seat, 34.5 yuan for first class seat and 65 yuan for business seat. Or you can get on bus from the Hangzhoucheng bus center (杭州城站客运站) which is near to Hangzhou Railway Station in the downtown area of the city. Buses from Hangzhoucheng bus center (杭州城站客运站), the first bus departs at 7:30 and the last one departs at 18:20, with the frequency is about 30 minutes, and the ticket fare is 30 yuan. This bus trip will take about 1.5 hours.
Each of the bus stations have around 30 buses heading to Wuzhen water town every day, but the difference between the two bus stations is this: buses depart from Hangzhou Jiubao bus station(杭州九堡客运中心) head to the Wuzhen water town bus station, where you need to take another 5-minutes bus trip (take Wuzhen tour bus No. K350 ) to the Wuzhen water town scenic area. While the buses depart from Hangzhoucheng bus center (杭州城站客运站) will arrive Wuzhen Water Town scenic area directly.
