Tanghu Park, built in 1986, is located in Shuangliu County of Chengdu. This park got its name from the crabapple trees inside the park, for it has the most species of crabapples. Besides, different types of pavilions, corridors and bridges make the park even charming. Some crabapple trees are close to the pavilions, showing people a perfect match of nature and ancient architectures.

Xinghua Village is situated in Fuhong Town, Qingbaijiang District, Chengdu. It is about 25 kilometers from Chengdu downtown. When tens of thousands of acres of apricot blossoms are racing to open, the whole Xinghua Village looks like an ocean of flowers. The apricot flowers are as holy as jade, elegant and fragrant, and the wonderful scenery is beyond description.
Except for the breathtaking beauty of apricot blossoms cascading on the mountains, the colorful Hakka culture is attractive enough. As lots of Hakka people live here, you can explore Hakka culture and customs among the local architectures.
Apricot Blossoms
Shixianghu Ecological Scenic Area holds the largest Tulip Festival in Asia, with more than 80 rare varieties of tulips. Covering a large planting area of nearly 7,000 square meters, Shixianghu Ecological Scenic Area is the largest outdoor tulip garden in Asia. Tulips of various colors spread all over the park, like a rainbow across the sky, the whole picture seems like a colorful fairy tale world.
Even though the entrance fee is a bit high, what you can explore in Shixianghu Ecological Scenic Area are totally worthwhile. Shixiang Temple, Wenjing Tower, Shuxiang Lake and Xiangshan Ancient Town are main scenic sites inside the park.
Taohua Guli Scenic Spot is located in Longquanyi District of Chengdu, 19 kilometers away from Chengdu. Longquanyi started to hold Peach Blossom Festival from 1987, more and more fun activities have been added each year. During the festival, thousands of tourists will come here, for the splendid sceneries and profound peach culture in Longquanyi.
In March, the mountains will be covered by beautiful peach blossoms, and the scenery is very gorgeous. Additionally, Taohua Guli is also a famous agritainment area in Chengdu, with plenty of places for you to relax yourself and enjoy the great views. Don’t hesitate to visit Taohua Guli if you want to explore rural life.

Xinjin Pear Creek has an original pear forest, which has not been specially planned. Many years ago, local people started to plant pear trees so that the families could eat pears at home. Year after year the whole mountain were covered by pear trees. When spring comes, tens of thousands pear trees are in full blossoms, which create a fantastic world full of life and beauty.

Sanxi Town in Jintang County is famous for rape flowers. It will be a wonderful experience to enjoy the great sceneries in the countryside. Actually, there are plenty more places around Chengdu to see rape flowers, and some rape flower fields are just along the highways.
